Classes and Workshops in New Mexico

I currently teach in person sewing classes at Hipstitch in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I hope to be able to offer classes in Santa Fe soon! I publish a post on my blog to announce every class, so please follow me here or subscribe to email updates if you want to stay up to date on classes.

Leila, the pattern maker behind Muna and Broad, and I are hosting a Sewing for Everybody Workshop here in New Mexico. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, we have had to cancel our 2020 retreat. We will be rescheduling for 2021.

Virtual Sewing and Fitting Instruction

I also offer virtual sewing classes for one on one instruction. I know that many of us (myself included) don’t live near a fabric store that offers classes, not to mention one that  offers classes that are accommodating of a large range of sizes. This is such a major hurdle for folks who want to learn to sew! I am excited to be offering virtual classes so that I can interact with folks anywhere in the wold and help them achieve their sewing goals!

Who: Anyone!

What: I can provide instruction on a variety of sewing topics, so please reach out using the form below and let me know what I can help you with. My true passion is helping my students learn how to better fit garments to their unique bodies- of any size or shape! I’m also happy to help you get started on your first garment project, work on a particular technique, or anything else you need assistance with!

When: Anytime that works for both of our schedules. With the virtual format, we can be very flexible

Where: I can connect with you via nearly any virtual video format. We can use FaceTime, Skype, Google Hangouts, etc. If you don’t have access to a mobile device or computer with a camera, we can conduct the class via email. However, especially for classes focusing on fit, seeing the garment in motion often makes fit issues much more obvious and easier to diagnose.

How: Please reach out and let me know what your interests are via the contact box below. I will work with you to schedule something as soon as possible. My hourly rate for a virtual session is $45 per hour and payment will be via PayPal. If you are interested in an in person class in the Santa Fe area, please get in touch. Rate will be dependent on location.
